On Wednesday, Ash Class had an exciting morning at Junior Citizen in Oxford. We took part in eight different safety scenarios which taught us how to keep ourselves safe and offer help in the case of an incident or accident. Some of the scenarios were very realistic and made us experience very real emotions that may be similar in a real situation. By talking about these after each scenario, we were able to discuss what our immediate reactions were and whether those had been the best to keep ourselves safe or if we could have done something differently. The main message of the morning was that everyone learned that "I am the most important person," because if we get injured trying to help someone else, we can't help them and we will also need someone to help us. It was a great morning and if you came to our Cafe Assembly, we hope you enjoyed sharing our learning with you.
