A large group of Year 5s have embarked on a very exciting after school club with Margaret and Mrs Mason exploring what it means to be a Young Leader in our world today.
Week 8: This week we turned our focus to National Community and played a matching game to help us identify different charities in the UK. Our big question to consider was: "Does it cost to change the world?" We thought about the charities we've heard of, what they do and how they help to serve others and change communities for the better. We discovered that statistics show women are more likely to give to charity than men. We also learnt that in 2015, £10.1 billion was donated to charity and that 64% of donations to charity are done by giving money either in cash or by direct debit.
