Holly Class enjoyed listening to the story "Hanni and the Magic Window". This explored the idea that when children are using digital technology they should be supervised by a trusted adult at home or school. The story helped us to see that the internet opens the curtain into a world of exciting opportunities for us to enjoy but there are also things on the internet that are not suitable for our young eyes. We talked through the story about how Hanni felt when she took a "sneaky peek" at something she knew her Mum had told her not to see. The children looked at the illustrations of the story and identified who Hanni could have talked to at home and at school to help her feel better about what she saw and how the adult would've helped put it right.
After the story, the children enjoyed drawing pictures of things they enjoy doing online. They also enjoyed using the camera facility on the ipad.
