Big Walk and Wheel 2025: Change your journey, change your country: 24th March - 4th April

The WASP team have launched a 2 week campaign encouraging children to join the Big Walk and Wheel.
North Leigh C of E Primary School
The Big Walk and Wheel is the UK's largest walking, wheeling, scooting challenge. It inspires pupils to make active journeys to school, improve air quality in their neighbourhood and discover how these changes benefit their world.
Active travel is a great way to build physical activity into chldren's daily routine. It helps them arrive to school ore relaxed and alert and is great for their mental wellbeing.

In 2024, as a result of the challenge we avoided:
2,691kg of nitrogen oxide
1,730 tonnes of CO2

In 2024, 1,727 schools made 2,389,015 journeys to school by foot, wheelchair, scooter and cycle
