On Friday Holly Class and Maple Class had a fantastic time at Harcourt Arboretum taking part in a 'Spring Splendor' workshop. Our guide Kathryn showed us around and talked to us about the many trees that grow there. We learned about Rhododendrons, Camelias, Magnolias and Giant Canadian Redwood trees. We learned that the tallest Redwood tree is 150 years old. We matched colours, made nests, pinecone worms and spring crowns. The children enjoyed the day surrounded by beautiful daffodils, peacocks and we even saw a little deer!
