Ash Class were treated to an inspirational and motivating talk by Antarctic Explorer, Al Sylvester MBE. He shared something of his childhood dreams and adventures, the importance of making the most of every opportunity and what it means to "never give up". He showed us the most fascinating photos of the team's journey to the South Pole and shared edge-of-the -seat stories of the highs and lows they encountered along the way. The class's behaviour, depth of questioning and interest levels were a credit to themselves and our school. I was very proud of them. It was a brilliant morning, enjoyed by all.
