This week as part of our RE unit on 'Celebrations' Holly Class have enjoyed learning all about the Chinese New Year. We have learnt the story of 'The Great Race' and discovered why each year is named after a different animal. The children prepared the vegetables for a delicious stir fry, which they ate with chopsticks! We also set up a Chinese Restaurant in our role play area and Holly Class made masks, snakes, puppets, lanterns and a fantastic dragon for our dragon dance around the school. ‘Kung Hey Fat Choy!’ - Happy New Year!
