Oak and Ash classes went to Oxford Playhouse to see the production of "Coming to England", one of the texts studied in Year 5 at our school. This is a story about the triumph of hope, love and determination celebrating the Windrush Generation. It follows ten year old Floella Benjamin as she and her family set sail from the Caribbean to a new life in London. Coming to England wasn't at all what she had expected and as the play unfolds we learn more about the years that followed and of her achievements in adulthood.
