I would like to take this opportunity to welcome you to North Leigh Church of England Primary School website.
There is much to celebrate at North Leigh CE Primary School. Our school is a welcoming, happy school where people are helpful, considerate and respectful of each other. The children are very happy and enjoy learning. We are very fortunate to have such a dedicated team of teachers, teaching assistants and other staff who strive to ensure that every child is successful, confident and responsible, equipped with all the skills they need to continue on their future learning journey.
We work in partnership with parents and carers and very much value the support and contribution they make to school life; our school’s vision of ‘Valuing everyone in our school, in our community, in our world’ is intrinsically woven across our school. Learning is at the heart of everything we do and our curriculum is carefully sequenced and planned out to give children the opportunity to learn about themselves, others and the world. Children frequently have enrichment opportunities to develop their knowledge of the world by visiting museums, theatre trips and our residential visits in years 5 and 6. We are fortunate to have our very own Forest School provision on site to allow children to connect and experience nature first hand.
We are proud to be linked to our parish church of St Mary's, our vicar Margaret Dixon and the church community and our Christian values of respect, honesty, perseverance, creativity and community are at the heart of everything we do. Because home, school and parish work together, we are able to provide a happy, caring and effective learning environment, where expectations and standards are high. We have carefully designed our curriculum to develop thinking skills, creativity and spirituality, encouraging confidence and opportunities for children to be excited about learning and challenged to achieve their very best.
The school is well supported by an enthusiastic and effective Governing Body and we are proud to be a Primary Academy within the Oxfordshire Diocesan Schools Trust (ODST), where we work in meaningful partnership with other ODST schools, share best practice and support of one another; with the added benefit of central resources provided by the Oxford Diocese. We hope that you enjoy looking around our website – although this is only a tiny glimpse of how very special our school is.
I hope you enjoy your visit to our website and look forward to welcoming you to school.
