I would recommend this book to everyone because it teaches you that money doesn't buy you happiness and I think it is a funny book.

There is a boy called Joe and he and his dad are billionaires. Joe would get anything he wanted but he didn't have a friend.

Recommendation:
I would recommend this book to maybe year 5 and over or even year 4+ because well it's very sad and and there are some hard words but lover all its a great book!

Summary/ content

This book is about 3 young children who went on an emotional journey to save their villige! This book is also emotional because near the end 2 adults and 3 children were going to be hung. When I read this book I felt like they were going through tough times and that I felt I wish they never did but luckily it's a made up story.

Recommendation:
Yes I would definitely recommend this book. It's a really funny and exciting book that I would happily read again and again.

Summary/ content

This story is about a little boy called Al, whose father has died. To cheer him up, he gets a hamster called Alan Shearer as a birthday present. Then he finds a letters which sends him on a time travelling adventure. Of course, he takes his hamster with him.

Recommendation:
People that like mysteries and solving things because Lydia try's to solve what's happening in the future. I would recommend this book for year 5 and year 6 because the story line can be quite complicated.

Summary/ content

What if you could change the past to save the future?
Lydia's the new girl in school who wants to get into the Comics because her best friend is in there but its not working. Then everyone accuses her of being a thief and things get worse and worse so she decides to run away. Unfortunately, as she is running away on the moors she gets caught in a freak storm and gets pushed into the future! In the future she discovers something bad is happening and she ends up trying to solve her worst nightmare to get back to the past!
Thief is very thrilling and it has a lot of cliff-hangers.

Recommendation:
I would recommend this to 7-12 year olds I feel like even though 12 year olds are going be teenagers soon or are 11 turning to 12 I feel like they would still be able enjoy this amazing book.

Summary/ content

This book is about a boy called Horrid Henry, he is a horrid boy and he lives with his family such as his little brother and his mother and father. Henry gets a lot of surprises and if you ever or have read this book you would also get some surprises to.
My favourite part is when Moody Margaret and Horrid Henry both messed up each others autobiographies.

I would reccomend this book to people who like a fun adventure story full of jokes and tension. (Please read the first book first!)

I would recommend this book to people who like Robin Hood, adventure and action.

It's about a boy called Robin Hood. The evil Sheriff of Nottingham and Prince John are trying to kill Robin Hood and all the Outlaws in Sherwood Forest because they are stealing from the rich and giving to the poor.

The story is about a man called Robinson Crusoe who decides to go on a voyage across the the sea. He gets stranded on an island with nobody on, not yet at least.

Recommendation:
I would recommend this book to children aged 8 to 10. This is an interesting story.

Summary/ content

This book is about the war and a man called Manfred who threw a stone into the ocean because he thought it would bounce all the way back to Germany but it blew up and killed him.
A boy and his sister meet two men from the German army on the beach who tell them all about their experiences and what happened. They realise that one of the men called Walter knows their mum so they take them back to their farm to see her and have tea.

Recommendation:
I would recomend this book to 9 year olds and older but maybe a bit challanging for 9 year olds but good for 10-11 year old

Summary/ content

The Wind and the willows is a story about a Mole named Mole was walking along a river bank one day and came across a a tunnle on the other side of the river .He called out to see if anyone was there ,a Rat came hobling out and every since then they were best friends .A couple months passed and since the start Rat had been talking about a Toad ,Mole was intrested and wanted to visit the Toad Rat metioned .So off they went in search for Toad ,they had found an old boat house and thats how you know its Toad's house .They were shown around by Toad and were taken on a ride in Toad's new red wagon .Rat was not happy with Toad because he was showing off about his wagon and was making Rat and Mole do all the chores .During Toad's nap Rat had an idea to crash Toad's brand new wagon in a ditch ,so they did .

I would recommend this book to all who enjoy comics and are learning about the Middle Ages/Robin Hood. For mostly 8-14 years.

This book is about the life of Robin Hood remade in a comic. It still gives you all the info you need to know. I think it's more fun as a comic. And it's related to our topic. ENJOY

Recommendation:
I would recommend this book to children around 9 to 10 YEARS. The only reason is because there might be some scary parts.

Summary/ content

The story is abut a little girl named Dorothy and her dog Toto who live with her Auntie and Uncle. One day there was a whirlwind with Dorothy and Toto in her bedroom cuddled up in Dorothy's bed holding on tightly to each other. Auntie and Uncle were in the cellar under ground so they didn't get blown away. After the whirlwind had stopped the house landed in the land of the Munchkins.Dorothy and Toto wanted to get back home so the munchkins told them that the Wizard of OZ could help them get back home to Kansas.So they both were on their way to The Emerald City where The Wizard of OZ lives. On the way there they made some new friends who are Scarecrow, Tin Woodman and lion.when they Arrived at Emerald City there was a man standing at the gate who told them to where the glasses that he had in his hand because otherwise the Emeralds will blind you. Everything in the Emerald City was green even the people. they went to see the Wizard of OZ he told them that if they could kill the Wicked Witch of the west then he would help them get back to Kansas.

Recommendation:
Anyone in Year 5 who is doing some writing about Robin Hood ;-)

Summary/ content

This story tells a version of Robin Hood's whole life. The author imagines what originally drove him to become Robin Hood, how he lived, many of his adventures, how he met lots of the characters and how he eventually died. There are lots of examples of how difficult and unpleasant life in Medieval times could be - the terrible punishments for minor crimes, the difficult living conditions for anyone but the noblemen and the difficulties faced by one man who wanted to do the right thing.

The book is about a kid called Roan who goes to Jedi Academy. He gets bullied but he's got lots of friends. There's is a teacher that always goes "Hmph" every time he sees Roan.

This is my favourite book I've ever read. I recommend this book to anyone who likes outdoor adventures.

Four kids and a pilot are on a 5 seater plane when the pilot dies . The plane crashes in the middle of the Amazon Rainforest and the children have to survive. The book is about their adventure through the rainforest.

Personally I didn't enjoy this book but I think people who like adventure story's will.

This is a book about Jim Hawkins who needs to find Captain Flint's legendary treasure with Long John Silver. But sadly Jim's father died so Jim was the only one left. Suddenly when Jim was on the island he meets a man and he said 'I haven't spoken to a man like you in the past 3 years.' and he wants help to get of the island.

Recommendation:
Mrs Cleal and Oak class because it is about time travelling and this is our topic for this term. Also, I would recommend it to people that like adventure stories.

Summary/ content

A lost dog, a secret lake and......... a time tunnel. Tom and Stella move away from their beloved home in Hong Kong to a new beautiful house in London where they have a shared garden with strange magical moles that lead them to a time tunnel. They have lots of adventures and meet new friends 100 years in the past.

This book is about a group of foster children, who go and find Aniyah and Noah's mums star. On the way they face some bumps, bruises and dead ends but together they find a way to get through the challenges and know where she is and always will be.

I would recommend this book to 7 and over and fantasy lovers. Also anyone who enjoys the tv programme.

This is a book about a girl called Mildred Hubble who goes to Miss Cackle's Academy for Witches. She has a friend called Maud who is a kind and helpful girl. Mildred also has an enemy called Ethel Hallow who is top of the class so she thinks she can boss everyone around. But the trouble is when her class did their broomstick flying Mildred had a tumble and she was in a lot of trouble so she decided to leave.

Recommendation:
I would recommend this book to anybody who likes fantasy and adventure stories. I really enjoyed reading this however it can be tricky to understand at times because it was written a long time ago.

Summary/ content

It's an adventure book about a young girl who finds herself in a strange, mysterious world where she can talk to animals.
There are some very interesting characters including my favourite the playing cards. I like them because they are clever and have to think quickly.
Alice travels through wonderland meeting all the characters and having fun at tea parties but soon one of her friends is in the danger of being executed and Alice needs to act quick!

I would recommend this book to adults that like classic fiction..

Summary/ content

This book was written in 1847. The story begins in 1801 and covers about 20 years until the end. It is set on the Yorkshire Moors and most of the story features two houses a few miles from each other. The main character is a man named Heathcliff and how his life develops after becoming very close to Catherine, the daughter of the family who takes him in.
I found it to be a sad novel and strangely I did not like any of the characters as I found them to be selfish and conceited.

The story was about a family who moved out of their gran's house and lived in 2 caravans 1 for the kids and 1 for the Mum and Dad. My favourite part was when The caravan family went to Uncle Ned's farm and helped Auntie Clara in the dairy and made milk,butter and cream.

Evie and the Animals is a wild adventure story about an 11 year old girl called Evie who has a special talent. She can read animals minds and hear what they are thinking. Her dad didn't want what happened to Evie's mum to happen to her so he made her keep the talent to her self and not use it but she became in danger when the evil pet thief knew she had it. Lots of animals are in danger and it's up to Evie to save them.

I would recommend this book to people who like adventure stories. I like the idea that you imagine unimaginary friends into real life.

This book is about a boy called Ben who has no friends. He doesn't mind that he no real friends because he has imaginary friends. One day his imaginary friend becomes a REAL friend. This story is about the adventures of Ben and his real imaginary friends trying to stop a rogue imaginary friend called Daisy.

Recommendation:
I would recommend this book to over 9-year-olds because children under 9 might not be able to keep up with the story and not understand some of the jokes. Also younger children might get a little bit frightened.

The story is about a boy called Mort who became the apprentice of Death (the guy with a scythe). However Mort loved a princess called Yisabell and he was given the job of letting out her ghost when she was murdered. Instead Mort defended her and everything went wrong...

The book is about a girl called Daisy and at her school there is a new nature garden but the trouble is there is no nature in it. So Daisy and her best friend Gabby go camping to try and collect something for the garden.

This fantastic book is about these two children called Mollie and Peter and they go on lot's of adventures. And on every adventures they always find something exciting like they found a flying chair that grows wings and a pixie that Mollie and Peter became friends with

A girl called violet moved to a place called perfect with her mum and dad . Her dad kept going missing for his secret job.Violet went missing with a ghost called boy. A few days later of investigating how to get back to perfect and to make every one not blind again. So the watchers which were guarding no man's land They found a wall and the guards were on the perfect side if the wall and the no man landers were on the no man lands side. Did they find their families and get to perfect

The Borrowers are a little family who live under the floor and sneek round a house .One day a boy who lived in the house found them and made friends with them.They moved house and a horrible man lived in the old house.The man tried multiple times to get red of them but it wasn't working ,and soon they had pay back on him.

I recommend this book to my mum because its easy to read.

There was a evil cat named Petey and Dog Man ends up in a lot of trouble. The bad guys escaped dog man the story is about a cat called Lil Petey that was a clone of the evil Petey, who escaped prison they battle the fleas/Piggy, Bub and Crunky with a big dinosaur robot.

I would recommend this mysterious book to children ages around 9 or 10 years old.

Summary/ content

This is a fantastic book that when you start to read it, it is hard to put down.
The story is about a cruel, evil Headmaster who has the gift to hypnotise people. However, he uses it in ways he shouldn't.
